Novelis Inc., a Georgia-based industrial aluminum company, signed an agreement to invest US$375 million in an expansion of rolling and recycling capabilities at its plant in Zhenjiang, China.

The expansion included the upgrade in the existing hot mill, a new cold mill, and a new recycling and casting center, which will help Novelis build closed-loop recycling partnerships with Asian automobile customers.

The project was expected to break ground early next year and be completed in mid-2024.
