Charlotte, N.C.-based Nucor Corporation announced plans to build a TrueCore manufacturing facility to be located in Brigham City, Utah. The facility, which will manufacture insulated wall and roof panels using steel and other materials, will employ 50 people. The new facility is expected to become operational in 2022.

Commenting on the development, Conor Lowery, director of operations at TrueCore said that they are excited to be building their third TrueCore facility in the past three years. The Utah facility offers to provide national footprint and extend enhanced service to customers in the western United States and Canadian markets.

Jeff Carmean, President of Nucor Buildings Group noted that this third TrueCore facility will greatly expand its capacity and enhance its ability to service its metal building customers. Further, it ensures growth to its line of value-added products, in line with the company strategy. Carmean added.

TrueCore panels use coated steel and are used as exterior walls, interior partitions, ceilings and roofs in the cold storage. In addition, they are widely used in commercial and industrial construction markets. The thickness of these panels range from 2-8 inches and widths up to 44 inches.
