Odisha’s bauxite output accounts for 65% of total national output in 2018-2019

Odisha is a major bauxite producer in India. According to statistics, the state’s bauxite output accounted for 65% of the total national output of 23.69 million tons from 2018 to 2019, increasing by 6% year on year.

Besides, Jharkhand’s output ranked second, with a proportion of 10.18%, and Gujarat ranked second with 9.21%. They were followed by Chhattisgarh’s 6.47%, Maharashtra’s 6.02%, and 3% from Madhya Pradesh and Goa.
