Netherlands-based Oryx Stainless Group has already signed a framework agreement with SIRIM QAS International, an international company in Malaysia, aiming to exclude hazardous substances away from Malaysia and to accelerate the inspection of stainless steel scrap transported from Oryx Stainless Group to Malaysia.

At the beginning of 2022, Malaysia already tightened regulations on scrap metal imports. The country has its own stainless steel manufacturing industry but doesn't have any stainless steel smelting factories.

Currently, Oryx Stainless Group annually provides over 500,000 tons of stainless steel materials, of superior quality, to numerous smelting mills all over the world.
