Outokumpu has teamed up with metal fabricator Schmidt Edelstahl and elevator door manufacturer Meiller Aufzugtüren to launch Outokumpu Circle Green®, the first towards zero stainless steel material for elevator doors in high-saline environments such as coastal areas.

The material is Outokumpu's Supra 316L/4404 grade with a Deco Linen finish, processed by Schmidt Edelstahl and delivered to Meiller, the first elevator door producer to use Circle Green.

The first installations are planned for the summer of 2025 in public buildings such as railway stations.

Not only are Circle Green elevator doors durable and strong, but they also reduce CO2 emissions across the entire supply chain by up to 93% compared to the industry average. The collaboration demonstrates successful supply chain partnerships and driving decarbonization efforts in the construction industry.
