The epidemic measures implemented by Pakistan have been gradually relaxed from May 9th, prompting the local flat sheet and steel pipe producers to resume the operations.

Pakistan’s largest manufacturer, International Industries Limited (IIL), recently announced that its three manufacturing plants have resumed production on Monday and will continue to fully cooperate with the government’s epidemic prevention measures to ensure the safety of employees, and continuous export activity was mainly targeted for now.

This manufacturer's annual production capacity of welded pipes exceeded 500,000 tons.

Pakistani long steel producers Mughal Iron and Steel Industries Limited also said that its plant operations and offices will be restarted. In order to cooperate with the government's epidemic measures, the business hours should be limited from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a daily basis.
