It was reported that Pakistan’s manufacturers related to aluminum and copper, such as fans, utensils, wires, automotive components, kitchenware, die-casting, machinery, and aluminum window frames, are facing a short supply and surging prices due to a sharp increase in aluminum and copper exports, which disordered the domestic market.

According to Pakistan Electric Fans Manufacturers Association (PEFMA), Pakistan’s exports of copper scrap are subject to a 25% regulatory duty (RD), while the exports of aluminum ingots and aluminum scrap are free from the restriction.
