Recently, the R400HT heat-treated rail with the highest grade of strength in European standards developed by Panzhihua Iron and Steel Research Institute was successfully trial-produced for the first time.

As learned, the R400HT heat-treated rails have technical characteristics of high strength grade, excellent matching for strength and toughness, difficult control of microstructure, and deep hardening layer.

After times of intelligence research and developments, Panzhihua Iron and Steel achieved composition design, high-purity smelting, and high-homogeneity continuous casting for high-strength and toughness hypereutectoid. The high C and high Mn type of rail billets can match the EN standard.
