South Korea’s POSCO announced its development plan of decarbonization technology at the second-quarter briefing meeting. In the plan, POSCO's proportion of scrap input will be raised from 15% to 20%, and the proportion will increase to 30% after 2025.

Meanwhile, POSCO is also considering introducing steelmaking facilities and electric furnaces so as to raise scrap consumption. Therefore, the demand for high-grade scrap was expected to grow steadily.
