Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Berhad, a Malaysia-based aluminum producer, reported that its revenue totaled MYR 2.89 billion in the third quarter of this year, growing by 55% compared to the same period a year ago. The sharp increase in the revenue was due to rising aluminum prices and higher output after the expansion project was put into operation.

Press Metal Aluminium’s Samalaju phase 3 smelting plant was originally scheduled to reach full production in July 2021. The project has been put into production in mid-October, which increased Press Metal Aluminium’s primary aluminum production capacity to 1.08 million tons per year.
