Romanian Alro Group receives 243 million lei subsidy from government

Alro Group, one of the main aluminum companies in Romania, received a subsidy of 243 million lei from the government, becoming the first company to obtain the state’s aid policy.

The subsidy from the Romanian government was to direct subsidize energy-intensive companies in Romania, which was approved in May as an emergency decree amid the COVID-19 epidemic, in order to maintain the companies’ competitiveness among the EU countries and other regions.
