It was reported that RUSAL has recently completed the acquisition of Aluminium Rheinfelden, a Germany-based aluminum products producer, after obtaining approvals from the German Federal Cartel Office and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

This transaction ensured the existence of Aluminium Rheinfelden, as well as secure jobs of more than 200 highly qualified employees in this plant.

The two parties hoped to combine Aluminium Rheinfelden's highly specialized niche market with RUSAL's ability of low-carbon aluminum alloy production in the global market.
