RUSAL signs agreement with Gränges to develop new automotive aluminum alloys

It was reported that RUSAL has signed an agreement with Gränges AB, a leading global producer of rolled aluminum products, for a new development of automotive aluminum alloys.

According to the agreement, RUSAL will develop new aluminum alloys, slab casting, and heat treatment processes, and Gränges will aluminum rolling and product processing processes for automotive customers.

Victor Mann, the technical director of RUSAL, said that the cooperation with Gränges will strengthen RUSAL’s position in the automotive aluminum solutions market for automotive applications.
