RUSAL, a global leading aluminum supplier in Russia, announced that it has decided to temporarily suspend the production at its Nikolaev Alumina Refinery in Nikolaev, Ukraine, due to unavoidable challenges of logistics and transportation on the Black Sea and surrounding area.

The production at the group's related aluminum smelters will not be immediately impacted widely. Some necessary measures will be implemented to ensure business continuity.

The Nikolaev Alumina Refinery has an annual production capacity of alumina of more than 1.7 million tons.
