Russel Metals Inc., a metals distribution and processing company, finalized its acquisition of seven metals service centers from Kloeckner Metals Corporation for US$102 million. This move extends the company’s reach across the US, specifically through new facilities in Houston and Austin (Texas), Jacksonville and Pompano Beach (Florida), Charlotte (North Carolina), Suwanee (Georgia), and Dubuque (Iowa). The final price remains subject to standard adjustments for working capital.

President and CEO John Reid welcomed the new employees, noting that the deal grows the firm’s geographic footprint. By adding these specific sites to its network, the company strengthens its capacity to serve regional customers and provide value-added processing throughout the American market.
