Recently, the Russian Aluminum Industry Association held a symposium. The meeting stated that the Russian aluminum industry has continued to develop rapidly in the past eight years.

Since 2013, Russia’s share of primary aluminum supplied to the domestic market has increased from 17% to 30%, thanks to the Aluminum Association’s plans to develop demand for high-value aluminum products jointly with partners. The output of aluminum products increased by 46%, and the export volume of aluminum semi-finished products increased by 60%.

According to the strategic goals of the Aluminum Association, aluminum consumption in the domestic market will reach 1.5 million tons by 2030 and 2.2 million tons by 2033.
