Russian stainless steel production grows in Aug

The Russian production of stainless steel smelted in August 2020 increased by 7.9% compared to July, which amounted to 7,820 tons. Among them, the production of flat products increased by 7.7% to 2,660 tons, and long products hiked by 8.1% to 5,160 tons.
The leading manufacturers of stainless steel in the first eight months of this year included VMK Krasny Oktyabr, Zlatoust Steel Works, Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works, and Izhstal, with a separate proportion of 37.3%, 24.1%, 16.6%, and 13.5% of the total production.
