Russia's Q2 stainless steel consumption affected by COVID-19 pandemic

Russia's business limits associated with the COVID-19 pandemic affected the real consumption of stainless steel in the second quarter.

Compared to the first quarter, the consumption decreased by 20.4% and amounted to around 96,800 tons. In the second quarter, the volume of real consumption of cold-rolled steel products decreased by 22.3%, that of hot-rolled flat-rolled products was down by 17.5%, and seamless pipes consumption dropped by 11.9%.
