Russia’s stainless steel imports fall in Oct

According to statistics from the SpetsStal Association, Russia imported around 31,300 tons of stainless steel in October this year, falling by 5.7% compared to the previous month.
Among them, the imports of cold-rolled flat products increased by 0.1%, hot-rolled flat products dropped by 24%, welded pipes decreased by 35%, seamless pipes fell by 20%, wire declined by 10%, and long products fell by 15.4%.
Russia’s stainless steel imports from China accounted for the largest proportion at 72.3%.
The country’s stainless steel import volume has dropped for two consecutive months after hitting a record high in August.
