South Korea assigns final AD duties on Vietnam’s cold-rolled stainless steel

On April 24, 2025, the Korea Trade Commission (KTC) announced its final affirmative determination for the anti-dumping (AD) investigation on cold-rolled stainless steel originating in Vietnam, suggesting the Ministry of Economy and Finance impose a five-year AD duty on the subject products.

According to the official notice, YongJin Metal Technology (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. will be subject to a duty rate of 18.81%, while TVL Joint Stock Company, TVL Steel Production And Construction Joint Stock Company, and other exporters received 11.37%. Besides, the Commission recommended that the Minister not accept the price commitments given by these exporters.

The products involved are classified under HS codes 7219.31.1010, 7219.31.1090, 7219.31.9000, 7219.32.1010, 7219.32.1090, 7219.32.9000, 7219.33.1010, 7219.33.1090, 7219.33.9000, 7219.34.1010, 7219.34.1090, 7219.34.9000, 7219.35.1010, 7219.35.1090, 7219.35.9000, 7219.90.1010, 7219.90.1090, 7219.90.9000, 7220.20.1010, 7220.20.1090, 7220.20.9000, 7220.90.1010, 7220.90.1090, and 7220.90.9000.

A provisional AD duty on the subject goods was imposed previously, and it was extended by another three months until July 18, 2025, by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on April 1 this year.
