After the POSCO Steel flood accident, its production of stainless steel in March reached 90,000 tons, and sales also returned to the average level of previous years.

In March, POSCO Steel's domestic sales of hot-rolled stainless steel fell by 9.2% year on year but increased by 3% month on month to about 43,000 tons. The market believes that the shortage of hot-rolled stainless steel has eased.

The stainless steel production facility of POSCO Steel has been operating normally since the beginning of 2023, and it is expected that the output in May will return to last year's level, which also boosts sales and production in the second quarter.
