Following the strike in June, South Korean truck drivers will launch another nationwide strike on November 24. Government officials have actively sought solutions, while South Korean companies have found contingency measures to avoid disruptions in the supply and export of raw materials.
However, the Korean Public Service and Transport Workers' Union, which led the strike, said the government had failed to fulfill its promise in June and decided to strike again.
In addition to the strike, all ports in the country will also be blocked. It will be the second strike this year. The strike may hurt POSCO, which has not yet fully recovered from the floods.
According to the South Korean government, the week-long strike in June cost about 1.6 trillion won in production disruptions.
