South Korea's largest trading company POSCO International Corp has officially launched its new carbon-neutral roadmap. Under the new roadmap, the company plans to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

POSCO will focus on increasing onshore and offshore energy, expanding power generation, and carbon capture and storage technologies. In the first phase, POSCO will gradually convert the 3.4 gigawatt liquefied natural gas (LNG) power facility at Incheon LNG Combined Cycle Power Plant into the hydrogen mixed-combustion method.

In addition, in the second phase, the company will expand its renewable energy business, such as solar and wind. The company plans to add 2.5 GW of installed capacity to its offshore wind farm by 2050.
