Stainless steel stock value at Taiwan’s main suppliers increases significantly

As the international nickel price kept at a high level recently, which surged to a new high since December 2019, with an increase of above 20% in the past three months, the stock value of stainless steel at Taiwan’s main suppliers, including Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., and Walsin Lihwa, increased significantly.
These main upstream stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan have raised their prices for five consecutive months. However, the most important concern for the current market is whether demand from end-users can grow steadily.
