Stock market update: Metal stocks rise; MOIL climbs 4%

Metal stocks were trading with gains at 11:34AM (IST) on Tuesday.
Shares of MOIL NSE 4.04 % (up 4.04 per cent), Hindalco Industries (up 3.48 per cent), JSW Steel (up 2.74 per cent), Tata Steel NSE 1.73 % (up 0.56 per cent) and Hindustan Zinc (up 0.33 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While NMDC Ltd NSE -2.73 % (down 2.68 per cent), Coal India NSE -1.82 % (down 2.05 per cent), Mishra Dhatu Nigam NSE -1.10 % (down 1.77 per cent), Welspun Corp NSE 0.09 % (down 1.12 per cent) and Hindustan Copper NSE -0.14 % (down 0.96 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Metal index was trading 0.73 per cent up at 2438.2 around 11:34AM.
