Taiwan's Customs Administration announced yesterday (August 4) that in response to an application from C.S. Aluminium Corporation (CSAC), an anti-dumping (AD) investigation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs on certain China's aluminum foil will be launched from now on.

According to information from the Customs Administration, the products involved in this case are under HS codes 76071120006 and 76071190001, whose aluminum purity is between 99.3% and 99.9%. The subject products are used in food packaging, cigarette paper, and joss paper.

The Customs Administration expected to make a preliminary judgment in January next year and will impose AD duty as soon as the second half of next year if there is a dumping situation.
