Taiwan to impose temporary AD duties on aluminum foils from China

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan initially determined that the imports of certain aluminum foils from China have surly involved dumping issued and caused substantial injury to domestic industries. Therefore, the Ministry of Finance announced that it will impose temporary anti-dumping (AD) duties on the subject goods from China from February 22, with a validity of 4 months.

According to the ruling, the temporary AD rate for Shanghai Shenhuo Aluminum Foil Co., Ltd. was set at 28.28%, that for Kunshan Aluminium Co. Ltd. was 32.36%, and Jiangsu Dare Aluminium Industry Co., Ltd. (associated manufacturer) and Danyang Jingyi Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. (associated exporter) were assigned a rate of 9.1%. Xiamen Xiashun Aluminium Foil Co., Ltd. will be subject to 19.86%, and the duty rate for other manufacturers and exporters was at 32.36%.

The products involved are under HS codes 76071120006 and 76071190001.
