Taiwan’s China Steel Corporation (CSC) announced that its consolidated revenue in June was about NT$30.22 billion, decreasing by 8% month on month. The income before tax totaled NT$35.03 million, plunging by 104% from the previous month.

At the same time, CSC’s carbon steel sales amounted to about 648,000 tons. In the first six months of this year, the sales reached about 3.86 million tons.

The consumption and investment in the European and the US market slowed down, and the demand from end-user recovered slowly. Therefore, the Asian and emerging countries’ exports declined. However, with the FED almost ending increasing interest rates, the market outlook was expected to resume.
