China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest carbon steel manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its new prices for November yesterday (October 13), with an average increase of 5.02%, at a range from NT$1,000-1,200/ton.

CSC has hiked its prices for five times in a row, and the adjustment this time hit a new high of this year.

According to the downstream industries in Taiwan, CSC’s adjustment was in line with expectations. Some companies felt pressure on the increased prices, but they expected to follow CSC and increase their prices to reflect costs.

Some steel plate distributors also said that CSC’s new price will help the market prices.
