Asian stainless steel prices remained stable last week, while Taiwan's export prices also remained stable for the third consecutive week. Although raw material prices rose, weak market demand resulted in stable prices. Market participants stated that steel mills were unwilling to lower prices due to high costs after the Lunar New Year holidays. Therefore, Taiwan's export prices have remained stable for three consecutive weeks.

In addition, China's stainless steel cold-rolled coil export prices also remained stable last week. Regarding raw materials, LME nickel spot prices rebounded. Meanwhile, Indonesian nickel pig iron prices continued to rise. As for nickel pig iron, prices rose last week.

Although demand was expected to recover in March, the tense situation in the Middle East will have an impact on the raw material prices. It is expected that the metal prices will go up due to the limited energy supply.
