LME nickel prices rebounded to the US$15,000/ton level during October. China nickel pig iron price and the scrap price continued to rise. Although stainless steel mills still have room to increase the prices for November, the demand is not good.

Taiwan's several major steel mills' order received quantity decreased by 8,000-10,000 tons in October compared with September. The overall production and sales situation was obviously inferior to September.

Downstream customers were difficult to sell this month. If steel mills drop the price slightly in November, it will be not able to stabilize customer confidence. The best price policy might be to keep the same price for November, according to market participants.
