Taiwan’s stainless steel mills are going to announce their prices for September. In spite of a forecast of price hikes, some market participants thought the increase should be evaluated more due to the currently slow recovery in the terminal market demand.

After a few months of destocking, both stockists and end customers will have more willingness to purchase for their inventory replenishment since the recent price should be more competitive.

Some distributors believed that the prices for September were expected to increase, and they are also raising prices one after another to offset the loss of previous below-cost sales.
