Taiwan’s stainless steel wire rod price expected to grow with global nickel price rise

After prices of stainless steel wire rods decreased many times this year, the stainless steel wire rod price in September was expected to rise with recent stable raw material prices. However, the actual wire rod prices still have to wait until steel mills’ declaration.
From July to August, the stainless steel wire rod price dropped by NT$14,000/ton, so the market maintain a low activity. However, because the nickel price has slightly increased recently, the wire rod new price was expected to grow by a range within NT$2,000/ton.
