Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced its new prices for February today (January 28), with a price surge the same as market participants’ expectations.

According to the price adjustment, the domestic prices of 304 hot-rolled and cold-rolled was up by NT$6,500/ton, and that of 430 hot-rolled and cold-rolled was hiked by NT$4,000/ton. The surcharge of 316L was kept unchanged.

As for the export price, 304 was raised by US$200/ton, 430 was hiked by US$160-200/ton, and the surcharge of 316L was up by US$30/ton.

Yusco made this decision to hike its prices due to a significant increase in costs of imported materials and self-steelmaking. The increase of the price adjustment this time was higher than that in the previous month.
