Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced its new prices for October. The adjustment was in line with the market's expected bounce in prices.

The price of 304 cold-rolled and hot-rolled was hiked by NT$7,500/ton, that of 430 cold-rolled and hot-rolled was raised by NT$2,500/ton, and the surcharge of 316L was also up by NT$1,000/ton.

In terms of export prices, 304 products will be subject to a price hike of US$250/ton, and the prices of 430 and 316L were raised by US$80/ton and US$30/ton, respectively.

Due to the recent increases in raw material prices and heavy depreciation in the Taiwan dollar, which greatly raised steel mills’ production costs, Yusco decided to adjust its price upward to reflect costs while considering market conditions.
