Tang Eng announces higher stainless steel prices for Oct

Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., one of the main stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan, announced its new price of stainless steel for October today (September 30), and simultaneously stopped the trend of low prices for five consecutive months with Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco).

According to the price announcement, the domestic price of 304 cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel coil was up by NT$7,500/ton, the surcharge of 316L was increased by NT$1,000/ton, and prices for 200 series and grade 430 weren’t announced. The export base price of 304 cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel was hiked by US$150-250/ton, depending on different regions.

Market participants said that the short-term stainless steel market was expected to keep firm, while the future trend will be based on changes in market conditions.
