According to the report, Tata Steel UK recently signed contracts with Clecim and ABB to supply the new pickling line for the green transformation steel project at the Port Talbot site in Wales, UK.

Tata Steel UK announced that the new pickling line will be a crucial component of the green transformation steel facility, aimed to supply high-quality, low CO2 emission steel products for downstream industries.

The electric arc furnace in Port Talbot is expected to be built in the summer, with operations commencing in 2028. The plant will eliminate carbon emissions by 90%, which is equivalent to a reduction of 5 million tons of CO2 per year.
