Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd. (NINL), which belongs to Tata Steel Long Products Ltd., restarted its blast furnace at Kalinganagar in Odisha state.

The annual production capacity of NINL is 1.1 million tons, and it was planned to increase to 4.5 million tons per year in the next few years.

Because of the huge loss, NINL closed in March 2020 and was auctioned by the government in January last year. In July, Tata Steel Long Products acquired NINL.
