Thailand’s aluminum scrap imports increase in Mar

According to statistics, Thailand imported around 5,900 tons of aluminum scrap from the US in March, up by 11.36% compared to the previous month and 569.7% from the same month a year ago.

In the first quarter of this year, Thailand totally imported roughly 16,000 tons of aluminum scrap from the US, surging by 592.31% from the same period in 2019.

Besides, Thailand’s aluminum products imports, including semi-finished products, crude metals, alloys, and aluminum scrap, from the US totaled around 5,600 tons, a month-on-month increase of 10.33% and a year-on-year hike of 448.62%.

In the first quarter of 2020, Thailand imported 16,500 tons of aluminum products, significantly rising by 455.56% year on year.
