According to the German steelmaker Thyssenkrupp's announcement, the company has completed the construction of FBA 10, a new hot-dip galvanizing line with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons, which started production on October 13 at the Dortmund mill.

Thyssenkrupp said that the FBA 10 line will mainly produce material for automotive interior and automotive exterior panel applications. For now, Dortmund has two modern galvanizing lines with a total annual capacity of about 1 million tons.

Thyssenkrupp is further strengthening its portfolio of stronger and thinner premium steel through FBA 10 and will become the European center for high-quality galvanized steel products.
