BENTELER Automotive, which belongs to Benteler International AG, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe. According to the MoU, Thyssenkrupp will supply its low carbon emission steel, bluemint® steel, to BENTELER, and it will be applied in BENTELER’s production of vehicle components.

BENTELER aimed to reach net zero emissions by 2050, and its steel and tube division set the target to achieve CO2 neutrality by 2045. Also, the division produces green steel for customers in an electric arc furnace at its Lingen steel plant.
