Turkey’s HRC exports & stainless steel flat products imports decrease in Jan-Jun

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in the first six months, Turkey’s hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports were about 700,000 tons, decreasing by 32% from the same period a year ago. Among them, the exports to Italy, Egypt, and Ukraine were 163,000 tons, 100,000 tons, and 70,000 tons, respectively.

In the same period, Turkey imported stainless steel flat products with 352,000 tons, falling by 25% year on year. Among them, the imports from China, Indonesia, South Korea, and Finland totaled about 171,000 tons, 77,000 tons, 25,000 tons, and 13,000 tons, respectively.
