Turkey's stainless steel coil imports fall in Oct

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported approximately 48,000 tons of stainless-steel coils in November, falling by 22% from the same month a year ago due to a drop in demand.

During this period, Turkey imported roughly 22,000 tons of stainless steel from China, a year-on-year drop of 17%.

In the first ten months of 2022, Turkey imported about 340,000 tons, hiking by 50% from the same period last year. Indonesia was the primary supplier with around 10,000 tons, increasing by 16% year on year, followed by South Korea with 4,300 tons, a year-on-year slide of 54%.
