Turkey’s stainless steel coil imports rise in Jan-Oct

According to statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported around 487,000 tons of stainless steel coils in the first ten months of this year, rising by 10.9% compared to the same period a year ago.

Among them, the imports from South Korea were around 134,000 tons, reducing by 25.2% year on year; those from China were around 133,000 tons, hiking by more than two times year on year due to its competitive prices.

Meanwhile, the imports from Taiwan were roughly 34,000 tons, which ranked third; followed by Indonesia (around 33,500 tons), Spain (around 29,000 tons), Italy (around 28,000 tons), and Finland (around 22,000 tons).
