Turkey’s stainless steel coils imports hike in Q1

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s stainless steel coils imports in the first quarter grew by 42% year on year to 233,000 tons. The import value hiked by over 100% to US$693 million.

Compared to the first quarter of last year, the imports from China totaled 97,000 tons, an increase of 90%, followed by Indonesia's 57,500 tons, skyrocketing by 49,000 tons, and South Korea’s 27,500 tons, falling by 54%.
