According to statistics, Turkey’s stainless steel coil imports amounted to around 289,000 tons in the first five months of this year, rising by 16.3% compared to the same period a year ago. Due to higher global steel prices, the import value during the period totaled US$566 million, a year-on-year increase of 24%.

Among them, China was the largest supplier for Turkey during the period, shipping 96,000 tons of stainless steel flat-rolled products to Turkey, up by 47% year on year.

If the growth trend continues, Turkey’s stainless steel imports from China may exceed 200,000 tons this year.
