The Turkish White Goods Manufacturers Association (TÜRKBESD) has expressed concerns over the potential impact of ongoing anti-dumping investigations on materials like stainless steel and sheet metal, which could lead to higher production costs and inflation.

Taxes on key materials, including stainless steel, sheet metal, and polystyrene (17-18% of production costs), could raise product prices by 5% and weaken international competitiveness.

This situation may reduce Turkish manufacturers' global market share and export capacity. In September, Turkey's domestic white goods market saw a 15% drop in sales, exports fell 34%, and overall production decreased by 37%. TÜRKBESD reported a 4% increase in domestic sales but a 6% drop in exports, resulting in a 3% decline in total sales for the first nine months of 2024.
