Turkish HRC imports slightly drop in Jan-Jun

According to statistics from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey imported a total of around 1.95 million tons of hot-rolled coil (HRC) in the first half of this year, slightly down by 5.3% compared to the same period a year ago. The slight decrease in imports during the period was due to its competitive quotations.

Among them, the imports from Russia accounted for the largest proportion, totaling nearly 510,000 tons. Ukraine ranked second with approximately 340,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 23.6%; followed by South Korea with roughly 154,000 tons, a year-on-year of nearly 720%.
