UK Steel estimates quotas for steel products under new deal of US Section 232 tariffs

The UK has reached an agreement on Section 232 with the US, confirming the annual tariff rate quota (TRQ) of 54 items for 500,000 tons of steel products, which will take effect on June 1, 2022.
UK Steel, the trade association for the UK steel industry, announced its estimated allocation of the UK tariff quota, including cold-rolled coils of 121,864 tons, stainless steel billets of 57,984 tons, line pipes with an outside diameter exceeding 406.4 mm of 54,901 tons, angle, section, and structural steel of 41,355 tons, and steel bars of 35,926 tons.
