Ukraine's crude steel output ranks 14th in the world in Oct

According to the World Steel Association (worldsteel), in October 2020, Ukraine's crude steel output increased by 5.9% year-on-year to 1.65 million tons, and its global ranking dropped from 13th to 14th.

The country with the largest global steel output in October was still China with 92.2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%, followed by India's 9.1 million tons, up by 0.9% year-on-year. Japan had 7.2 million tons, down by 11.7% year-on-year; the United States had 6.14 million tons, down by 15.3% year-on-year; Russia had 6.1 million tons, up by 4.3% year-on-year; South Korea had 5.9 million tons, down by 1.8% year-on-year.

Ukraine's crude steel output from January to October this year fell by 5.5% year-on-year to 17 million tons.

From January to October of 2020, crude steel production in 64 countries declined by 2% year-on-year to 1.5 billion tons.
